You may have noticed community residents driving area neighborhoods with Houston Police Department supplied "Citizens On Patrol" magnets on the sides of their cars. These people are your neighbors who volunteer in efforts to help make our areas safer.
The patrol volunteers do not stop cars or people, but do have a significant impact on lowering crime. This official presence makes it known that we, as a community, are observing and watching for incidents and suspicious behavior to report directly to the police.
